Written by Aija Zablovska
To ensure competitiveness with the major banks, Hunter United has taken the decision to reduce its variable mortgage rates by 20 basis points.
Hunter United’s popular “Basic Home Loan” will reduce to 6.05% on a $250,000 loan. This reduction will take effect from 14 July, 2012 and will be undertaken in combination with a reduction in some deposit rates. Hunter United Managing Director, John Ford, said “the credit union was accepting a squeeze in margins to ensure we continue to be competitive with the major banks”.
