Today, we launched our new look website and Internet Banking service.

The contemporary look comes as part of a long term strategy to bring new life to our business, which started life more than 50 years ago.

On the strategy, Hunter United CEO Tim Blomfield said,

Hunter United is a trusted name in lending and general banking solutions, having serviced the Hunter region and beyond for more than 50 years. We are known and loved for the attention and care we give to our customers through our branch network, but we have been slow to embrace customers through digital and mobile technologies.

The new look website includes an upgrade to our Internet Banking service and the addition of a self-serve superannuation portal.

These upgrades better represent who we are to our customers and in a mobile responsive format. This signals the start of a series of digital enhancements for Hunter United that will better position us to reach a wider audience, with improved products and even higher standards of service for our customers.” Mr Blomfield said

We have deliberately chosen to drop ‘credit union’ from our logo and name throughout our digital assets. Explaining this, Mr Blomfield said,

A lot of people don’t understand what a credit union is these days and many think it’s a club that’s closed to them. We want future customers to choose Hunter United because of our great attitude towards our customers and our competitive product suite. Calling ourselves a credit union creates questions and barriers when engaging consumers. It’s a small but meaningful and positive move for the business.
