Financial Hardship

Hunter United is committed to assisting customers in times of financial hardship.

We're Here For You

If you have a loan with Hunter United and are struggling to meet repayments due to changes in employment or other circumstances, we can sit down with you to look at options to help you through the situation.

What Assistance Can Be Provided?

The assistance we can provide is determined by your individual circumstances and may include:

  • Reduced or no repayments for an agreed period; or
  • Other payment arrangement

Who Can Apply?

All individual and small business customers of Hunter United experiencing financial hardship are eligible to apply for Financial Hardship Assistance.

In assessing an application for financial hardship, consideration will be given to the applicant’s financial circumstances, reasons for experiencing financial hardship, and future prospects. Financial hardship assistance will be considered for eligible customers, however it may not be provided to all applicants. 

Customers may be reasonably unable to meet repayments for a number of reasons that may include (but are not limited to):

  • unemployment;
  • illness/ medical expenses;
  • relationship breakdown;
  • reduced income; and
  • business failure

Applying For Financial Hardship Assistance

We encourage anyone experiencing financial hardship to contact us as soon as possible. Our staff are available to help in any of our branches or over the phone on (02) 4941 3846 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 12pm Saturday or by emailing collections@huecu.com.au.
